Battle of the Wills

It is 9:45 am. Anne has been up for 2.5 hours approximately. She's had one 4oz bottle of whole milk and some juice. That's it. The past few days she's refused to eat what we've given her, even with a promise/bribe of dessert or something she likes better. This morning I gave her waffles with syrup on them, which she promptly and fully refused, refusing even a single bite. I offered blueberries when she was done (which might be her favorite fruit) but still not even a nibble. I told her she could be all done then and took her down. I just offered her the same waffles as a snack a few minutes ago. Still no takers. Hopefully for lunch she'll be hungry. I am determined not to let a 21 month old win this battle.

She will eat when she is hungry....DON'T BRIBE HER!!! That is one f the worst things you can do! She will catch on that eventually if she doesn't do what you tell her to, then she will get a something if she waits.

I know-we are pretty bad at that...the bribing...at least she doesn't take us up on the bribe's 100% of the time and thus hasn't quite learned she can get her way by bribes...
