Even though the temperature outside doesn't agree with us, it's still technically fall and so I bring you this morning an apple smoothie. Feel free to call it an apple pie smoothie if that makes it more appealing to you or your kiddos!
1/2 cup apple juice
1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
1 apple peeled and diced (a softer apple. like a Cortland, works best here-but use what you have on hand)
1/2 banana (more if you want it sweeter or thicker)
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon (did you know cinnamon helps stabilize your blood sugar? One teaspoon a day fills that need)
Fish or flax oil
Blend up and enjoy! Cheers!
