In the past, I've written about reluctant potty training. I'm still reluctant to do it, mainly because I don't want to stay home for the 3+ days it's going to take to get her trained. Lately we've tried some less than sucessful tactics:
"Anne, don't you want to go pee pee in the potty?"
"No, I wanted to go pee pee in my bipder (diaper)."
"Elmo goes pee pee in the potty."
"Nay nay (her friend Nathan) goes pee pee in the potty."
"Only babies go pee pee in their diapers and you're a big girl! Big girls go pee pee in the potty."
"No, I a baby."
Hmm...guess we're still a while off then.

Oh well, she is only 2. The next time we're out there, I'm going to ask Anne to show Andrina how she uses the potty, since Andrina is a baby and needs a big girl to teach her. That tatic may help. Do you have any friends with older babies who Anne could act as a teacher to?
That's a good idea. We have just a couple of friends with kids younger than her, so I could try that when their over.
Anne will go on the potty if her diaper is off (usually-yesterday a CD on the floor was her "potty") but she won't go (obviously) if her diaper is on. She knows when she has to go and when she has gone but she won't tell us that she has to go. Part of that-most of that-is because she's diapered.
