I spent about an hour today looking at this woman's website and her blog. This woman is to nutrition as to what John and I are to childbirth. Basically, we swing to waaaay other side of stuff and in general do not trust the medical establishment or other agencies in charge of it. The way we feel about that stuff regarding childbirth is the way she feels about nutrition. Anyway, one of Robyn's maid things is that she drinks "green smoothies" everyday. You can watch the youtube video and what she drinks for breakfast contains 15 servings of fruits and vegetables! No, that wasn't a typo, 15!! Imagine how much she gets the rest of the day! So, of course, because I am easily sold on most things, I am considering doing this green smoothie stuff. Although, not to the level that she does. I figure I can do one banana, a cup of berries and 2 cups of spinach (or kale or collard greens or some other dark leafy green) and it will only cost me $1 per smoothie. Granted, I don't have the super amazing (read EXPENSIVE) blender she does so mine will probably be a bit chunky and I can't put every sort of fruit or veggie she puts in it, but I modify it and try. If I make the smoothie that I described above, it will have 5 servings of fruits and veggies in it! That's how many you're supposed to get in one day and I'll wipe it out in one meal! I have all the stuff we need at home right now, so I think we are going to give it a try tomorrow morning. I'll let you know!
PS. I ran the dishwasher 2x w/ Tang and still have a bit of stuff on the dishes. I'll give it another try. It seems to be improved but not completely fixed.

my dad does the green smoothie thing. he is ULTRA healthy, almost obsessively so, but also he is in better shape than most 20 year olds, and feels excellent all the time. they have a vitamix blender and got one for us a few years back...i loved it for awhile and then sort of forgot about it. try it!
