Poor John, he doesn't do so well with holidays and birthdays. It's just not in his nature to plan a whole day out of activities. Unfortunately, he has married a woman who expects a day planned out for every holiday. This morning we woke up and I promptly informed him that even though we had planned to be in KS and now we were here, he still had to do something for Mother's Day. After all, I had something planned for tomorrow (which is his bday). He agreed he would try and do something.
We agreed that he would do cleaning today and let me have as much down time as possible. When we returned from church we ate our Subway lunch, which is quickly becoming my most favorite place to eat, especially with the $5 foot longs, then I went out to the grocery store. When I got back, I watched 2 episodes of 90210, which I'm only a little bit addicted to. Then we went to the movie store when Anne woke up and he let me pick out a cheesy, stupid monster movie. I choose Lake Placid 2. Hopefully it lives up to the "cheesy" and "stupid" descriptions. I think it will. Then I went upstairs, drank some wine, got a little tipsy, and read while he cooked me dinner.
He's now loading the dishwasher and will then give Anne a bath while I continue to read my book. So, Johnny Boy, you done good. Thanks babe.
