So I just have a desire to blog right now but not much to say. So anyway, here's what I'm thinking about. A few weeks ago, I heard about this "diet" called the "F-Factor Diet". The review I read in a magazine said that you don't take anything away at all, you just add/make sure you are eating 30 g of fiber a day, minimum. This seemed alright to me. I don't think I will ever be able to do a "diet" that takes stuff away, but I could definately do something where I was adding fiber. I was really excited and borrowed the book from the library. I skimmed the whole thing while I was eating lunch that day. The diet itself was extremely dissappointing. It's basically a low-carb diet with no real advice or instruction on how exactly to add fiber other than eating high fiber cereal. However, it has gotten me thinking about adding more fiber to my diet and I'm a bit more concious of it now. For example, I try and add some of the high fiber All Bran "bran buds" (which are actually tasty) to my almost daily yogurt. I used to add granola, so this was a super easy switch. I also have started eating Tortilla Factory torillas. They are really yummy, super low in calories and very high in fiber. I actually like them a LOT better than bread and have enjoyed eating wraps for lunch instead of sandwiches. And I've just been a bit more aware of how many fruits and veggies I'm eating. Other than that, I'm not counting carbs or fiber grams, but do have a general idea of how much fiber I'm eating in a day.
The one good thing about the F-Factor diet is the recipe section. I really love it! There are some super yummy looking recipes in there. They are all generally high in veggies and protein and low in carbs, which is alright with me. (If I really wanted, I could always serve whatever with rice or pasta.) I am tempted to buy the book simply for the recipes. I'm really excited to start trying them all in the next few weeks.
So anyway, there's my babbling and desire to blog out of the way.
