Two movie reviews

John and I watched two fabulous movies this weekend. Normally I only think movies are so-so. It takes a lot to impress me. This weekend we watched: "Live Free or Die Hard" and "I am Legend." Both of these movies were in the theaters recently yet I don't remember hearing much about them. I think they were great. "Live free or die hard" was really fun. All the Die Hard movies are great. There were many many many unrealistic parts, but it was really fun. The story line fascinated me to think about what life would be like if it were really happening. The second movie, I am Legend, was also great. John was not excited about it because it strayed from the book, which he had read and consequently I was looking forward to it, but would be fine if I didn't see it anytime soon. Again, a really great movie. Another fascinating story line. In addition, I literally spent about 50% of the movie sobbing my eyes out. Not just little trickles running down my cheeks either. Full out, gasping, gulping, chest heaving, sobbing. I think just having a kid and putting myself in the main character's shoes got to me. (Hey, since having her I am now "one of those" who cry at commercials!) So, if anyone needs a recommendation for a movie, those are my 2 picks.

I also liked both of these movies. Live Free Die Hard, we saw at the Drive in last summer. We saw it with 1408. All the kids liked it, but Jasmine was the only one who stayed awake for 1408, since it was the second movie and didn't start until 11. It was her first "scary movie" Now she thinks she is ready for Freddy and Jason movies...I don't think so. Mike and I loved I AM LEGEND. It was very sad. We actually wound up buying the 2 disk dvd today. Now we get to watch the alternate ending...

We LOVED Live Free or Die Hard!! Mike is a superfan of the Die Hard movies. I think one of our first dates we saw a Die Hard movie. (Romantic.)
