Since John's parents arrived on Wednesday last week, I gave up what I gave up for Lent. Sigh, I am back to being an internetaholic. I try and stay away from it, but once you give yourself the go ahead for just "one quick peek", it's hard not to rationalize every time you need a fix. After allowing myself free reign the past week, I have decided that I am going to try and turn off the computer during the day though. This really helps because it's such a hassle to turn it back on and if I'm going to turn it back on just to peek and see if someone emailed me, that just doesn't seem worth it. So despite not being able to stick to my "once a day" rule, I did grow and got positive results when I was able to stick to it. I was able to see how often I was wanting to go on the internet (read: about once every 15 minutes-no exaggeration here). Plus I have been able to spend a lot more time with Anne and thus reduce some of the nasty feelings I would get when I was spending so much time on the internet and leaving her out in the cold.
Right now Anne is napping (read: crying for the past hour+) and I needed a break from thinking. Still, for those of you praying types, keep me in your prayers that I can keep up, somewhat at least, with keeping the computer off during the day and/or only using it while she naps.

I know how you feel! This is probably one of the first years that I've been able to do my Lent...whatever you call it...
