Happy brithday to my big FIVE YEAR OLD boy!

Jamie turned FIVE last week!  FIVE!!!  How can that be??  He is getting so old!  In less than 6 months he starts KINDERGARTEN!  Wow, time is flying with him!

He's my big boy!  He's about 40 lbs and 44 inches.  That means he's right at 50% for weight and close to 70% for height!  He's smart as a whip too!  He knows all his letters by sight, he knows all the sounds they make, he can write most letters, he can count to 40, recognize 1-20 by sight, and of course knows all his shapes and colors.  He is beyond ready for kindergarten.  His preschool teachers-and me too-think he is gonna excel when he starts in the fall.  (I think he is quite smart and I'm interested to see if it's a phase or if he will continue to be ahead of his peers in school.)

He's the sweetest guy I know. He is always willing to give and share, even at the expense of himself.  He'd rather give his sisters the last cookie and go without.  He's just so sweet.  He's a protector of his siblings.  He loves his mommy.  And he's daddy's guy and is into all things superhero, Star Wars and generally BOY!

This year we look forward to Jamie playing T-Ball, learning to swim, riding a bike without training wheels and learning to read!  It's gonna be a big year for him!  Happy birthday Buddy!  I love you SO SO much!
