A few months ago, John sent me an email from his work with an offer that seemed "too good to be true". It was a dinner of the month club, on a special promotion for John's work at 96% off. Basically, you'd get 12 months of dinner gift cards, valued at $300 for only $24 bucks! Really? Seems too good to be true. I was skeptical, but John was convinced we could find at least one place to use a gift card at-even if they were weird places we'd never heard of and had crazy restrictions on times to use the gift cards. So we went ahead and bought it. It's actually turned out really nicely. Yes, the places are more obscure and yes there are restrictions-some of the gift cards you can't use on the weekends, some add an 18% gratuity automatically, and all you have to make a minimum purchase-above the gift card to use it. (Usually it's purchase $35 worth of food and you can use the $25 gift card-bringing your total to $10.) But it's been worth it. We went to a new tapas place and to a place in Bolingbrook at their promenade. Last night we went to a Mexican restaurant near Fox Valley Mall. I was a bit skeptical, because the outside looked a bit rundown, but the parking lot was always packed. So we went. It was DELICIOUS! By far, the best Mexican Food I've ever had! I highly recommend it! So Yummy! So if you want a date night suggestion-Lalos in Aurora, right across from Fox Valley Mall (on the same side of the street) is my pick for you!
