Big girl and an even bigger boy!

Yesterday Jamie had his 18 month check up and Anne had her (4 month late) 4 year old check up. Jamie is almost 27 lbs and 33 inches, putting him perfectly in proportion in the (about) 65th percentile. To put it in perspective on how big my guy actually is, a mere 6 months ago, he was only 35th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for height. Apparently he figured that out on his own and has since been packing on the pounds and inches!

Anne is 31lbs and 40 inches tall, putting her in the 10th percentile for weight (where she has been basically since birth), and 35th percentile for height (again, basically where she has been since birth). So my girl continues to be a long, skinny Minnie.

The doctor asked about Jamie's language and commented that it is perfectly normal that he isn't speaking much and that most boys don't really start to talk at all until 18 months. So my little guy is right on track with his handful of about a dozen words (that happen to change daily based on what he is in the mood to say or not say).

The best thing about the visit...I now have 2 children who only have to go to the doctor once a year! Yay! And because their birthdays are only 2 months apart, I can do Jamie's visit a month late, Anne's a month early and do them at the same time. Ahh...feels so good to know I have passed the point of needing to go to the doctor every few months. Now I only have to dedicate 2 hours of waiting once a year instead of 3-4x a year.
