Birthday!

Anne's 3rd birthday was the other day. For her birthday, I made her a completely, 100% from scratch birthday cake. Yeah, I mean the cake and the frosting! No box mixes for me! I was super impressed with myself! The cake was just a tad dry but the frosting was infinitely better than the kind in the container. Plus, the whole cake was lots healthier without yucky trans fat or high fructose corn syrup. The day of her birthday, John, as has become our tradition, took the day off. We were planning an outing to the zoo but all day rain made that just a dream. We went to a jumper/bouncer place and Anne had a BLAST! She had so much fun and ran around like crazy...she even asked to go home 5 minutes early she was so tired. After naps, we went out to eat and then home for cake. Here's pictures of her big day!

Anne got a kitchen set for her doll house. The doll house was a great buy for Christmas-she has played with it consistently for the past 4 months. 60 bucks well spent!

Anne got a doll car seat. Since Jamie has been born she loves to put her dolls and Ducky in all of Jamie's things-swing, car seat, and crib. It seems like at any point in the day someone is taking a "nappy". Now she has her own car seat for her dolls.
Anne also got "Hi Ho! Cherry-O". She is a great game player-she's gotten the concept of playing games since she was about 2 and a half.
