Sa-Weet!

So for the past 3.5 years, John and I have half-heartedly looked for a frame for pictures we picked up in Maui during our honeymoon. When we bought them, we had visions of hanging them in our brown walled guest room (which strangely enough, when we bought this house-the guest room was brown! Weird!) and being reminded of our honeymoon together. Unfortunately the 2 pictures we wanted to frame were very odd sizes-6.75"x6.75". If you haven't noticed, they don't make 7x7 frames, let alone 1/4" smaller. We went to 2 different frame shops the past 3 years, and each time it was going to cost $60+ to frame these 2 five buck pictures. Could not justify that expense. I looked on ebay a handful of times, but of course, never found frames that were 7x7. Then, in a last ditch effort to find frames-since we are decluttering and our honeymoon mementos were getting closer and closer to the "donate" pile, I looked once more on ebay. I found several sellers who would make a custom frame for us at the price of...you guessed it, $30 bucks a frame-shipping extra. No thanks. Then, I found it. A diamond among the rough. Someone who would make us custom frames for...GET THIS...7 bucks apiece!! How awesome is that!??! I just got the frames in-which I only ordered them a few days ago-talk about service!-and they look great! I'm so thrilled that I got my frames at such a bargain. While we were ordering 2 the frames, John suggested we custom frame a 3rd picture that goes with the other two so that all 3 frames would match. So I got 3 custom frames, plus shipping for only $35! Amazing! Sa-weet!

On the not so sweet side, a gift I ordered for John 9 days ago still hasn't come in. :( So now I have to give him an IOU on Christmas morning tomorrow. Damn overstock.com - next time go with Amazon.
