Today we carved a pumpkin with Anne. This was the first year she was able to actually participate in the carving. On Parents.com they had a feature where you could design a stencil for your pumpkin. So Anne and I went on it today and she picked out the eyes, nose and mouth. (True to her very girly nature-she picked a heart nose and mouth!) Then we carved it with daddy. It was a lot easier than I remember it. I always remember carving pumpkins as a lot of work with not a lot of pay off. We were done with this one-start to finish-in 30 minutes. It was nice for Anne, too, to get somewhat instant gratification. Here's some pictures.

I love this picture. On the spur of the moment I though that since I was posing with my daughter and a big round pumpkin, why not include the fourth member of our family who currently resembles the pumpkin more than John or I. I think it turned out so adorably cute!
