Well, this morning I decided to just try and keep her diaperless all day long. My plan for potty training is to keep her diaper and pantless (read nakey from the waist down) for several days. Everytime she has an accident on the floor, I will place her immediately on the potty and remind her that peepee goes in the potty, not on the floor. The hope is that after several accidents and being immediately sat on the potty, she will start to associate going peepee with sitting on the potty and will start to naturally sit there first.
So, like I said this AM I just decided to have her go diaperless and see what happened. It took her an entire hour to finally go pee and of course it was a HUGE puddle on the floor. I stuck to my plan and stuck her on the potty for 5 minutes. Now, it's been 3 hours since that initial pee on the floor and she has finally gone again. This time, she sat on the potty on her own. (This is not actually a big victory since she sits on the potty all the time and occassionally even goes in it.) What's funny, is I, of course, was really proud of her for sitting on the potty and going (despite it being like 3 drops in there) so we made a decently big deal about putting the peepee in the big potty and wiping and of course giving her an M&M. However the catch is one minute later, she sat down again and went another 3 drops. I repeated the same thing (including a second M&M). Then, my smart little girl went a 3rd time-again same amount of drops. I told her she couldn't have M&Ms again until she made a lot of peepee come out. So as I was writing this, I told her to sit on the potty until I came back. She finally peed a lot into the potty. This is a big deal because she always only does a few drops. So the fact that she did more is something to celebrate, which we did, with a yellow M&M.

Ooof, potty training. Good luck to you, and tell us what works! Asher tried the "three drops, another treat" trick one day as well...now instead of asking him to go pepee I tell him to put in ALL his pepee and he seems to do better. :)
We are about to embark on this journey. I can't decide if it is wise to start before baby is born or to wait until this fall after we all transition a little. Anyway... sounds like Anne is getting hang of it. Lucky woman you are! I would love to have only one in diapers this fall but I guess only time will tell. :)
