Atwood-Family of FIVE: Party Time!

Today was Anne's party, and I have to admit it was a big success. I was super nervous because whenever anyone comes over to my house (or does anything where something I own is involved-like driving in my car), I am so self conscious and feel like the person must constantly be sizing me up, judging what I'm doing. Not that any of my friends would do that, I just feel that way.

Even though it was rainy at times and windy, the jumper was great. For about half an hour at the beginning all the kids were in it. Then throughout the party a few kids here and there would head out to use it.

For our food, I bought Subway subs and had chips and apples out. Last year I was pretty disappointed because almost none of my food was even touched including the cake. So not only did I spend a lot of money, but I spent time setting things out and my time would have been better spent not doing that. Anyway this year, we had practically no leftovers. Even the cake was completely eaten.

We did a few games, which due to the kids age and nap times, was sort of a flop, but I still think the kids had fun "pinning the nose on Elmo". (No one was blindfolded-like 7 out of 8 noses made it on Elmo's nose, and it's not Andrina's fault she's the only one who doesn't know her body parts yet.)

Presents were great too. Anne didn't get any repeats and she got tons of new, toddler toys, which I know she'll love. Just in time too since we have 3-4 huge boxes of baby toys we are FINALLY putting up in the attic.

So all in all, it was a great party. I'm really thrilled with how it turned out. Thanks to everyone for coming! I hope you all had a great time!!

Anne with her 2 trusty side kicks who helped her open all her gifts. At one point, after Char helped Anne open a few of her gifts, Anne started to open another one. Char wasn't helping with the new one yet and Anne turned to her and said "Help Charlotte."
