SHE DID IT AGAIN!!

I had to go potty this morning so I asked Anne if she wanted to go pee pee too. She did so as we both sat on the potty facing each other, me talking about going pee pee, she went!! Wow!! Again total coincidence. I don't think she has a clue how she actually go pee pee to come out of her, but still! She got 2 M&Ms as a reward! (For Anne M&M is probably the most effective reward.)

I'm still trying really really hard not to push it, mainly because I know that potty training is one of the most stressful times in parenthood and it can be one of the main factors when kids are abused, or one of the most likely times when kids are abused. Not that I would ever abuse Anne, just keeping me on my toes that this could easily spiral downward into major frustration for both of us. So I'm trying to keep my expectation extremely low.

Good girl Anne!!

Good for you & Anne!
I think the most stressful (i.e. "frustration-inducing") aspect of potty training for me/us was when Elanor would really do well for a long time and then all of a sudden have a day (or week, or month) where she regressed. It's impossible to understand why they do things like that. . . I don't think THEY even know themselves. I just remind myself that I will be able to send Elanor off to college and she won't wet the bed, she'll be able to adeptly use utensils at the dinner table, and she'll be able to pronounce the letter "R". :-)

Good idea about low expectations but still, that is great that she did it again!
