Little Chef

I've been trying to be creative and think of new things to do with Anne. Mainly because she is so different than other toddlers I know, that she just can't or won't play with you. Therefore, I'm trying to meet her where she's at. Recently I've tried having her help me cook. It's turned out well. She likes dumping things in a bowl, or stirring so it's been fun getting to spend more time with her and do something with her. I found a recipe in Parent's magazine for a pizza that kids can help make. Granted, the kids were about 7 years old, but still. I had Anne help us; she helped put the sauce, cheese and spinach on. I thought by her helping, she'd be more than willing to eat the pizza, but no go. She ate about one bite, if that, and was done. Still, it was fun to make the pizza. Below are some pictures as well as an extremely short video of her helping us.
Ps. If you look carefully, you can see the magazine article next to the pizza.

April-
I thought I would check out your blog and Brooke wanted to see what I was doing. So I played her this cute video clip of Anne cooking. Now Brooke won't stop pointing at the computer and saying "En, En, En" which is how she's says Anne. She wants to watch the clip again and again! So cute!

The FSW in me noticed that Anne looked over and smiled at you (April) when you said "good job!"

Also, super cute how sweetly she said "all done" and "bye". Very cute! Thanks for sharing!
