No Puppies for Us

Winnie got spayed this past week. When she got home from the vet's office, it was pretty pathetic. If Winnie's energy is normally a 100 (on a scale of 1-10- Just Kidding), then when she got home, she was a 2. It was sort of nice for those few hours because I could have her in the house and around me but not having to work at it. She just laid on the couch all day and cuddled. The next morning her energy was a 5, and every half hour it went up some so that by the end of day 2 she was back to normal-a 100. Imagine this, my dog has just had her insides ripped open and part of her body taken out and 36 hours later she is jumping, running, and digging with just as much vigor as before. You never see humans doing that...

Here are some pictures of our puppy after the surgery.

Here she is right after the surgery. This is what she was like all day long.

Here you can see how thin she got afterwards, how she sort of curves in now because something's gone.

Side view of the same.

Here is a picture of the tape on the incision. Although it's blurry, it is a good picture of what our doggie looks like.

i am hoping that winnie was included in this decision to end her puppy-rearing days before they were ever even started...not very empowering if you ask me.
