Mama's Girl

For the past few days Anne has been very attached to me. I'm not sure why, but I'm sort of enjoying it. When Dada came home the other day and tried to take her from me, she squirmed and kicked and fussed, reaching for me. The second I got her she was quiet and calm. If someone tries to take her or even touch her the past few days she cries and gets scared and calls for me. And the cutest was yesterday when we were playing a chase game. I "ran" away from her while she ran after. I turned a corner and she couldn't see me anymore. She rounded the corner but I had already gone around the next corner. She stopped completely in her tracks and called out in a scared sounding voice "Mama??" How cute. I definitely like this little bit of clingy-ness and mama's-girl-ness. It's nice to know that after sustaining her life (emotionally and physically) for the past 16 months, she actually prefers me to a perfect stranger.
