Ergo Bliss

Yesterday I wore Anne around the grocery store. I just had to run in for a few things and it was raining so I decided to forgo the cart (and schlepping it and Anne back and from from the car to the cart corral, etc.) and wear Anne on my back. It was so wonderful, wearing her. It has been a while since I've worn her in any fashion and yesterday was particularly touching. She felt so tiny and cuddly in a little ball on my back. Even though I couldn't see her or put my arms around her, I still felt incredibly close to her. I loved it so much that when we got home, I put her back on and took the dog for a walk with Anne watching from behind me. My little baby is going to be too big soon, I can't believe how big she's already gotten and how she's only going to get bigger. But at least for those few precious minutes yesterday I could pretend time had moved backwards and she was my little baby again.
