Ergo Dada

When I was pregnant and had bought the sling to carry Anne in, John adamantly assured me that he would, indeed carry her in it. He would not feel that his masculinity was threatened by wearing a pretty red striped sling with a tiny baby in it. Once Anne was born, he sort of changed his mind. He wore her exactly once, and refused to leave the house. Yesterday, when Anne was so tired and had her fever, I suggested he put her in the Ergo while doing yard work. Anne gets to feel cozy and comforted, Dada gets his work done, and Mama can finish dinner. It worked great. Anne didn't make a peep the entire time she was in the ergo (probably because she was too tired and weak) and John loved having her close to him in a more "manly" carrier.
