Anne's FIrst Christmas

Well, Anne's first Christmas was wonderful. On Christmas Eve morning, I couldn't wait, so I opened Anne's stocking and gave her what was in it. Teething biscuits and a "self feeder". The self feeder is a contraption that opens up and you can put food in it. The food is held in a netting so the baby can chew on the netting and suck tiny bits of food and juice out of the holes. Anne loved the teething biscuits, eating them happily and with gusto!

For Christmas Eve, we went to my sister's house. We had a great dinner and then for the first time, Anne opened gifts. I would help her tear the paper, but like most babies, she didn't really get it. However, she did seem to really like the presents. She would look at them intently, play with the new toys, and on one, she even would dance when it played music. One of Auntie Shellie's gifts to us is that Anne will have a little cousin this coming July! Congrats Uncle Tom and Auntie Shellie! We can't wait to meet the new baby!

On Christmas morning we opened gifts with Anne, and again, she really seemed to have a great time with it. She loved playing with all the new toys and especially loved feeding herself a pear with the self feeder for breakfast.

I feel very lucky that Anne was so responsive to Christmas. We are so excited to share more with her as she grows. Enjoy the pictures below!

Anne with one of her stocking stuffers-some baby teething biscuits!

Anne thought the biscuits were the greatest
thing since pureed food

Messy Fun!

On Christmas Eve at Auntie Shellie's: this is one of Anne's toys from Auntie Shellie. She loved to "dance" along when the doggie played music. Posted by Picasa

Christmas Morning!

This is a hat from Grandma in California. Thanks Grandma-Don't I look cute??

Another thing in Anne's stocking were these great "self feeders". Anne is using them to eat a pear. She loved it and ate half a pear! That's quite a lot for such a little tummy!

On Christmas Eve, Auntie Shellie also gave Anne a little scooter that you can sit on or push. Here Anne is being such a big girl and using it to help her stand.

And now sitting with it

Anne especially loved the little twirly thing on the scooter and would immediately try and spin it if she could see it.

MERRY
CHRISTMAS! WE HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE DAY AS MUCH AS WE DID!
