-I definitely grew. If stretch marks weren't enough to prove it to you, my belly button, which had slight indentation 2 days ago, yesterday was flush, and today is popping out. Yeah. At 28 weeks. With 10+ish more to go. Yeah. I'm starting to think those preemie clothes I bought, that Anne swam in her first month, might not fit so well this time.
-Anne and I have been singing "Annie had a little..." and inserting a pet or toy. (You know, "Mary had a little lamb". Last night I sang it and Anne insisted that she was going to "Mindy's house". Now Anne does not really play much imaginary stuff. Oh she plays with toy food and little figures, but as far as having an imaginary world, nada. However, this "Mindy" this is someone, something, that she's mentioned consistently for months. It doesn't come up often, but when it does I'm thoroughly confused. Mindy is the dog next door and I don't think that she is talking about that dog. However, she could be saying another name that sounds like Mindy-maybe Megan?-and we have several friends who fit that bill, but again, I'm not sure that's who she's talking about. I tried to question her last night about Mindy and who she was but Anne was only able to give vague answers. She said at first that Mindy was a mommy. I questioned her further on this, only to find out she meant that Mindy had a mommy. Not so helpful. The mystery remains.
-Anne has a monkey that sometimes visits her. When she was in the nursery it was right above her changing table. When I looked up there there was a black thingy the old owners had up there-some sort of hook. It sort of looked like a monkey. Now the monkey lives on her fan. I think Anne sometimes dreams about a monkey and is just repeating the dream. I don't think it's an imaginary friend because the monkey never comes down to see her-just sits up there.
-Our house is not finished being remodeled and I'm about to lose it. Give me my house back!!! 9 weeks is not 4-6! Finishing this week means actually finishing this week, not next Wednesday! Grr!
